Harness the power of “we”
In philanthropy today, we are still seeing on-the-ground efforts spending large amounts of their time on grantwriting & reporting; funders funding many efforts to do similar work in silos, leveraging many of the same tools, vendors, and even skills and learnings in parallel; and funding favoring those we know (or are able to find,) rather than those doing the best work.
We don’t believe this is anyone’s intent. We do believe there is a more agile and participatory way to wisely deploy funds and maximize efforts in service of our mutual thriving.
Cultivating a thriving community
In November of 2021, we onboarded 30 impact organizations in 13 countries to the Open Impact platform. Today, we’re moving into our beta launch with 170 organizations in 16 countries, who are learning and testing with us as we incorporate feedback and expand our vision together. We recently harvested some of these learnings with Open Future Forum, where 300 of our partners and allies in 36 countries participated in 34 hours of programming.
We are honored to be growing alongside a rich impact ecosystem who are stewarding innovative and essential projects in areas like Regenerative Agriculture, Food Systems, Water, Community Wellness, Community Resilience, Climate Action, and Economic Equity. From community-led watershed remediation in Rajasthan to food systems collaboration and education in Hawai’i, healthy childcare in Chicago to food forests in Zimbabwe, we truly believe that this rich soil of collective learning will allow a vibrant and complex understory to take root.

We launched the Private Alpha of the Open Impact platform in November of 2021 with 30 organizations in 13 countries. Now, we’re looking to partner with philanthropies to model what’s possible and design the best interfaces for management, reporting, fund allocation, and the provision and logging of technical assistance.
