The future is what we make it. Now what?

OUR WHY

We believe the solutions to the world’s greatest challenges are all around us: they’re simply disconnected from one another, and from the resources they need to thrive.

We innovate social, technical, and financial tools that support our ability to collectively innovate on, resource, and apply solutions to the world’s most pressing issues.

Our first tool is Open Impact, a platform that coordinates and connects on-the-ground efforts, transparently measures their progress, and matches them with the resources they need to scale—whether it’s capital, skills, or knowledge. We’re currently modeling and refining with 170 organizations in 16 countries.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: OPEN IMPACT

Open Future Fund is a growing set of tools and practices for ecosystem approaches to funding. We convene, syndicate, support, and invest in local funds to apply the right resources at the right time while supporting the long-term resilience of on-the-ground efforts. We are currently convening across the areas of ecological restoration, food systems, the built environment, and cooperative infrastructures.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: CENTER FOR REGENERATION

The Center for Regeneration leverages public-private partnerships to convene communities with the social, technical, and financial tools they need to address coordinative and funding challenges. By facilitating cooperative models and shared infrastructure, the Center aligns private and public resources to bridge research and practice, provide contexts for shared learning, and enable communities to identify, resource, and govern their futures.

We are designers, developers, social systems architects, economists, ecologists, storytellers, and movement builders.

We believe that every team doing good and necessary work deserves access to the resources they need. We mobilize ecosystems of partners and experts where and when they are needed.

Sometimes we are two, and sometimes we are two thousand. We’ve learned that we are more resilient when we expand and contract like the living world has taught us.
